Rajasthan has many forms of folk dances which are attractive and enjoyable Rajasthani folk dances are popular all around the world Gummer ,Jhumar,and kalbeliya folk dance are the main dances of Rajasthan and dances are so attractive and pleasant that they are bound to bring you to tap a foot or two along with the perfumers . These dances are performed on every important occasions and festivals. Dance performing women wear ‘Lahanga’ and ‘Odhni’ with lots of traditional jewelry and carry large plates full of lighted mud lamps and moving their feet in a circle and mans perfumed Bhawai dance form. ‘Bhawai’ is a dance of a sub-caste of Rajasthan.
This is a man folk dance and is based upon a declarative. The entire dance is organized on the basis of local folklores and the performers of the dance keep on moving from place to place. The Kalbeliya dance of Jaisalmer and Ghoomar dance from Udaipur have gained international recognizance.

Gair: Another Holi dance but performed only by men. This becomes Dandia Gair in Jodhpur, biawer and Geendad in Shekhawati.
Kachhi Ghodi:This is a dance performed on dummy horses. Men in highly elaborate costumes ride the well decorated mannequin horses. Holding swords, these dancers move rhythmically to the beat of drums and fife.
Fire Dance: The Jasnathis of Bikaner and Chum are famous for their tantric powers and this dance is in pursuance with their way of life. A big ground is set with live wood and charcoal where the Jasnathi boys jump on to the fire to the accompaniment of beats. The music slowly rises in tempo and reaches an increase this is a occupational dance-form of Jalore.
Teerah Taali: The Kamad community of Pokhran and Deedwana perform this dance in honour of deity, Baba Ramdev. quite unusual performances where the women sit with dozens of manjeeras,and the men play a four-stringed instrument called a chau-tara or cymbals, tied on all over their bodies and beat them with the ones they hold in their hands. the women also hold a sword between their mouth and place lighted lamps on their heads.
